Kate Bares All

Kate Winslet graces the cover of the December issue of Vanity Fair channeling the Deneuve character from the film Belle de Jour. Pick up the issue and read about Winslet's reunion with Titanic co-star Leonardo DiCaprio in her upcoming, possibly Oscar-nominated role in the film Revolutionary Road, her issues with weight, and meeting her husband Sam Mendes.

Leo's attacker facing extradition

Police will likely seek the extradition of a woman accused of fleeing to Canada after she allegedly slashed Leonardo DiCaprio with a broken beer bottle at a party in 2005, officials said. Aretha Wilson, 37, has been in custody for several months in Toronto in connection with an aggravated assault case there, Los Angeles police Detective Steve Ramirez said Thursday, the Los Angeles Times reported. Prosecutors are awaiting a formal communication from police before they launch an inquiry into whether the charge against Wilson is an extraditable offence, district attorney's office spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons said. Dicaprio suffered "great bodily injury" when Wilson allegedly attacked him with a broken beer bottle on June 20, 2005, as he was leaving a party in the Hollywood Hills, according to an arrest warrant charging her with one count of assault with a deadly weapon. Wilson failed to turn herself in after the arrest warrant was issued, officials said. DiCaprio attorney Blair Berk said the 33-year-old actor has been co-operating with local and Canadian authorities.

Leo and Bar: back on

Despite their brief break in October, Leonardo DiCaprio, 33, and Bar Refaeli, 22, were spotted holding hands at the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills on Dec. 20. Are they back on? "They were never really 'off,'" a DiCaprio source says. "It was always a distance thing. Leo was making a movie in Morocco [this year], and Bar had her modeling career." Refaeli's mom, Zipi, says: "Bar is working all over the world. Says the DiCaprio pal, "It's a struggle to make a relationship like theirs work, but yes, they're together."

Russell dishes on Leo

For a guy who hates tabloids, Russell Crowe gives great gossip. "You know, I worked with Leonardo [Dicaprio] when he was 17," Crowe recalls. "He was a virgin and he'd talk about that constantly." Of course, Dicaprio has made up for lost time with his conquests of supermodels Gisele Bundchen and Bar Rafaeli, among others. So Crowe is looking forward to debriefing the lothario on their upcoming flick Body of Lies. "I'm hoping...he can fill [me] in on what's happened in between, maybe show some photos," Crowe laughs in Entertainment Weekly. "I'm sure life's different now."

Leo's back on the market, ladies

Leonardo Dicaprio is reportedly looking for a new model after splitting from his post-Gisele Bundchen babe, Bar Rafaeli. On Friday night at Sweet Paradise in NYC, Dicaprio was with Josh Hartnett checking out the arm candy at the afterparty for the new skateboarding film Nothing But the Truth. And, in an odd twist, Rafaeli's new squeeze is surfer Kelly Slater, who dated Bundchen after she and the Titanic star broke up. Slater got into some trouble over the weekend in Israel when he and Rafaeli exited a hotel in a Tel Aviv suburb before dawn to find photographers waiting for them. He was arrested after fighting with local paparazzi. A police spokesperson told the AP that in an effort to prevent the photogs from taking pictures, Slater pushed them. A brawl broke out, and Slater was taken in for questioning and later released.

Leo and George to team up for policitical thriller

It was only a matter of time: two of Hollywood's most politically active stars are teaming up for a political thriller. George Clooney is in negotiations to direct Leonardo Dicaprio in Farragut North, a feature adaptation of an upcoming Broadway play based loosely on Howard Dean's 2004 presidential election campaign. Both would also produce the film. Named after the Washington Metro station located near many lobbyists' offices, the play follows a young, idealistic communications director who works for an inspiring - but unorthodox - presidential candidate. During the campaign, his career is done in by more seasoned politicos who thrive on poisonous partisan politics, dirty tricks and backstabbing.
